One of the most experienced and sought after Drum Major instructors in the world today. A champion Drum Major with a proven track record which Billy's students have taken every Major Championship Scottish, British, European ,World, Cowal & champion of champions of the world. Former Drum Major 
Drum Major of the 1st Bn Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. He was the first Drum Major to lead the Edinburgh Military Tattoo when it went over seas for the first time to NZ in 2000.

Billy has performed for the Royal family on several occasion over his  career as Drum major of The 1st Bn Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders & ScottishPower Pipe band. with the last time for Prince Andrew at the Victoria Highland Games, in  British Columbia, Canada May 2013.   


We teach Drum Major's on a one on one basis  or group lessons.

Band drill and formations, get ready for the marching & competition season. Small or large groups welcome. We are willing to travel to individuals or groups world wide.

Allan Craig









Allan Craig is currently the Leading Drummer with the Grade 2 Lomond & Clyde Pipe Band who are former World, British and Scottish Drumming Champions and Champion of Champion Drum Corps. A fully qualified RSPBA Adjudicator. 
 
Allan started playing drums in Knightswood Juvenile Pipe Band at the age of 13.  During his pipe band career he has played under various notable Leading Drummers incl. Joe Noble (Babcock Renfrew Grade 1); Jim Kilpatrick (Polkemmet/Shotts Grade 1); and John Scullion (Scottish Power with Grade 1).
 
He has also been Leading drummer with many other bands incl. 100 Pipers Whisky (Grade 2) in which he won both the band and World Drumming Championships and Glasgow Skye (Grade 1).
 
He has also been prolific in the Solo circuit in both Juvenile and Adult sections and has won the West of Scotland Championship and has appeared in the World Solo final in numerous occasions; with a 3 place being his highest placed position.
 
This success has carried over into teaching of the snare drum which he has been doing for over 25 years and has included achievements such as Dumbarton & Dist. Novice Juvenile winning a World Drumming Championship and Johnstone Novice Juvenile coming 2nd in the World.
 
He has also taught abroad in many countries incl. Holland and Switzerland.
 
He is currently the principle drumming tutor for the Strathendrick Pipe Band (4b); The Pipes & Drums of Basle from Switzerland (4b) and the Lionacleit School Pipe Band from Benbecula (Nov. Juv).
 
His passion for drumming also extends onto the drum kit which he also teaches and is involved in bands with a wide range of musical genres incl. progressive rock, pop, jazz and funk

                  George Murdoch




George Murdoch is currently a tenor drummer in the newly formed Glasgow City Pipes & Drums who will make their debut as a Grade 2 band in May 2016. A new band with a wealth of experience within their ranks.  A former tenor drummer with Denny & Dunipace Gleneagles Grade 1 Pipe Band.

This was after  two  fantastic seasons in Grade 2 on the way to  to being promoted to Grade 1. The Drum corps winning Scottish, World championship Drum Corps and Champion of Champions of the world Drum Corps in season 2011. Following on from where they left off in previous season they went on to win Scottish,British European, 2nd World Championships and winning Champion of Champions of the world for a 2nd season in a row. The band also took the tiles European, World & Cowal championships placing 2nd in Scottish & British Championships. With the Band winning Champion of Champions of the world 2012 This winning promotion to Grade 1. 

George is an active instructor in Scotland, Europe enjoying watching two of his students winning the best drum crops and the band winning the World Championships World 
Championships  Grade 4b with the newly formed West Coast Highlanders.
Also instructed Denny & Dunipace Gleneagle grade 4A band to British and European drum Corps titles in 2015.
